  3. If we cancel the course, you are entitled to a full refund.
  4. If you cancel the booking up to four weeks before the course date, you will be refunded in full.
  5. If you cancel the booking up to two weeks of the course date, you will be charged 50% of the course fee.
  6. If you cancel within two weeks of the course date, you will be charged 100% of the course fee.
Course Details

This course is designed to equip dental nurses with the adequate training to act as an IR(ME)R operator in Dental Radiography. This means being able to take dental x-rays unsupervised. 

Delegates will gain the necessary knowledge in the fields of physics, radiation dose, harmful effects of radiation, radiation protection applications, radiography applications and quality assurance.

This is coupled with a record of competence, delegates will be equipped with the practical experience to carry out dental radiographic examinations.

You will be required to complete the full list of online modules in this course, a record of competence (50 radiographs) and pass the exam at the end of the course.

Development Outcomes:

This training meets the development outcomes criteria C and D for the GDC’s Enhanced CPD requirements. This course provides 40 CPD hours.

Exam fees £60 (only resit)

The exam for Cohort 10 will take place at 1pm on the 20th May 2026 via Zoom platform.

The exam for Cohort 11 will take place at 1pm on the 11th Nov 2026 via Zoom platform.
